About the New Board...

Walter Kahn, a member of the first Board of Directors, accepting the NMJHS Dr. Allan Hurst Award.

We have another remarkable group of people serving on our volunteer Board. We warmly welcome back Walter Kahn to the Board. Walter served on the very first Board of Directors and was helpful in getting important visibility for the Society in the early 1980s. We also welcome Lorraine Goldman. Lorraine comes to our Board with a wealth of experience in the non-profit arena (see special article in this issue). We know that her leadership will be an additional incentive to our entire membership. The Board will meet every other month for the next year. If any members would like to attend, please let our Vice President, Claire Grossman, know of your interest. The schedule of meetings for the balance of this calendar year is: August 22, 1pm, Albuquerque; October 3, 1pm, Santa Fe; December 5, 1pm, Albuquerque.
